Tchouameni signs for Real Madrid

Aurelien Tchouameni, 22, is considered one of France’s brightest prospects. Hardly surprising that Real Madrid have plumped a hefty €100 million—€80 million initially, plus €20 million in add-ons— for his signature from Monaco. He has signed a six year contract, and alongside his compatriot Camavinga, 19, and Uruguayan Valverde, 23, Madrid’s midfield looks to be set for the foreseeable future.

Rape case against Ronaldo dismissed by US judge

The rape case brought against Cristiano Ronaldo by Kathryn Mayorga, stemming from a 2009 incident in Las Vegas, was officially dismissed today. The ruling was made by US District Judge Jennifer Dorsey, and in her summary she made it clear that Mayorga’s attorney, Leslie Stovall, acted in “bad faith.” The judge’s opinion stated that Stovall had used privileged and stolen documents as evidence jeopardizing their case. As for Ronaldo, he has maintained his position that everything that occurred between him and Mayorga was consensual.
